The associative property is a concept in which the grouping order of the operation does not matter.
Associative property of addition:
- (α + β) + γ = α + (β + γ)
Associative property of multiplication:
- (α · β) · γ = α · (β · γ)
Many people use the associative property subconsciously when doing simple math.
