The Portal Essay Club carefully collects and curates essays related to the ideas expressed in The Portal Podcast. It was formed in response to podcast Episode 40, where Eric reads the essay The Nightmare that is a Reality by Arthur Koestler.
Essays are an upgrade from informal messaging without the commitment required by a book. Gathering high quality essays will facilitate the clear communication of ideas and foster stronger discussions in the Portal community. Additionally, essays can easily serve as the focus of microsites, such as https://wethescreamers.com which was also created in response to Episode 40.
